The Whistleblower is a 2011 thriller film directed by Larysa Kondracki, written by Kondracki and Eilis Kirwan, starring Rachel Weisz. It is based on the true story of Kathryn Bolkovac, and premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. It will be distributed theatrically in the United States by Samuel Goldwyn Films in August 2011.
A policewoman (Weisz) risks her job and her own safety to uncover and bring to light a wide-scale, child sex-slave and human-trafficking scandal involving U.S. military contractors and the United Nations in postwar Bosnia.
