Jack and Jill is an upcoming comedy film starring Adam Sandler. Ben Zook wrote the original draft. Adam Sandler brought in Seinfeld and Saturday Night Live writer Steve Koren to rewrite the original script with him. Comedy writing veteran and frequent Sandler collaborator Robert Smigel came in later and did a rewrite of the script. Dennis Dugan, who has collaborated with Sandler on most of his films, will serve as director. The film is produced under Sandler's production company Happy Madison, and was shot in Los Angeles, and on the cruise ship Allure of the Seas, before its maiden voyage in December 2010. The release date has been set at November 11, 2011. It will be distributed by Columbia Pictures.
Jack Sadelstein (Adam Sandler) is a successful advertising executive in Los Angeles with a beautiful wife (Katie Holmes) and kids, who dreads one event each year: the Thanksgiving visit of his twin sister Jill (also Adam Sandler). Jill's neediness and passive-aggressive personality is maddening to Jack, turning his normally tranquil life upside down.
